Al Baqarah (Cow Girl)
71
ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﺍِﻧَّﻪٗ ﻳَﻘُﻮْﻝُ ﺍِﻧَّﻬَﺎ ﺑَﻘَﺮَﺓٌ ﻟَّﺎ ﺫَﻟُﻮْﻝٌ ﺗُﺜِﻴْﺮُ
ﺍﻟْﺎَﺭْﺽَ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺗَﺴْﻘِﻰ ﺍﻟْﺤَﺮْﺙَۚ ﻣُﺴَﻠَّﻤَﺔٌ ﻟَّﺎﺷِﻴَﺔَ
ﻓِﻴْﻬَﺎ ۗ ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟْـٰٔﻦَ ﺟِﺌْﺖَ ﺑِﺎﻟْﺤَﻖِّ ﻓَﺬَﺑَﺤُﻮْﻫَﺎ
ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﻛَﺎﺩُﻭْﺍ ﻳَﻔْﻌَﻠُﻮْﻥَ
qāla innahụ yaqụlu innahā baqaratul lā
żalụlun tuṡīrul-arḍa wa lā tasqil-ḥarṡ,
musallamatul lā syiyata fīhā, qālul-āna ji`ta
bil-ḥaqqi fa żabaḥụhā wa mā kādụ yaf'alụn
He (Moses) replied, "He (Allah) said,(the cow) is a cow that has never been used to plow the land and not (also) to irrigate crops,healthy,and without streaks." They said, "Now you explain (the thing) the truth." So they slaughtered him,and they hardly carried out it.
72
ﻭَﺍِﺫْ ﻗَﺘَﻠْﺘُﻢْ ﻧَﻔْﺴًﺎ ﻓَﺎﺩّٰﺭَﺀْﺗُﻢْ ﻓِﻴْﻬَﺎ ۗ ﻭَﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ
ﻣُﺨْﺮِﺝٌ ﻣَّﺎ ﻛُﻨْﺘُﻢْ ﺗَﻜْﺘُﻤُﻮْﻥَ ۚ
wa iż qataltum nafsan faddāra'tum fīhā,
wallāhu mukhrijum mā kuntum taktumụn
And (remember) when you kill someone,then you accuse about it.
But Allah reveals what you hide.
73
ﻓَﻘُﻠْﻨَﺎ ﺍﺿْﺮِﺑُﻮْﻩُ ﺑِﺒَﻌْﻀِﻬَﺎۗ ﻛَﺬٰﻟِﻚَ ﻳُﺤْﻲِ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ
ﺍﻟْﻤَﻮْﺗٰﻰ ﻭَﻳُﺮِﻳْﻜُﻢْ ﺍٰﻳٰﺘِﻪٖ ﻟَﻌَﻠَّﻜُﻢْ ﺗَﻌْﻘِﻠُﻮْﻥَ
fa qulnaḍribụhu biba'ḍihā, każālika
yuḥyillāhul-mautā wa yurīkum āyātihī
la'allakum ta'qilụn
Then We said, "Strike (the corpse) with part of (the cow)!" Thus does Allah give life to the dead,and He shows you His signs that you may understand.
74
ﺛُﻢَّ ﻗَﺴَﺖْ ﻗُﻠُﻮْﺑُﻜُﻢْ ﻣِّﻦْۢ ﺑَﻌْﺪِ ﺫٰﻟِﻚَ ﻓَﻬِﻲَ
ﻛَﺎﻟْﺤِﺠَﺎﺭَﺓِ ﺍَﻭْ ﺍَﺷَﺪُّ ﻗَﺴْﻮَﺓً ۗ ﻭَﺍِﻥَّ ﻣِﻦَ
ﺍﻟْﺤِﺠَﺎﺭَﺓِ ﻟَﻤَﺎ ﻳَﺘَﻔَﺠَّﺮُ ﻣِﻨْﻪُ ﺍﻟْﺎَﻧْﻬٰﺮُ ۗ ﻭَﺍِﻥَّ ﻣِﻨْﻬَﺎ
ﻟَﻤَﺎ ﻳَﺸَّﻘَّﻖُ ﻓَﻴَﺨْﺮُﺝُ ﻣِﻨْﻪُ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺎۤﺀُ ۗﻭَﺍِﻥَّ ﻣِﻨْﻬَﺎ ﻟَﻤَﺎ
ﻳَﻬْﺒِﻂُ ﻣِﻦْ ﺧَﺸْﻴَﺔِ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ۗﻭَﻣَﺎ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﺑِﻐَﺎﻓِﻞٍ ﻋَﻤَّﺎ
ﺗَﻌْﻤَﻠُﻮْﻥَ
ṡumma qasat qulụbukum mim ba'di żālika fa
hiya kal-ḥijārati au asyaddu qaswah, wa inna
minal-ḥijārati lamā yatafajjaru min-hul-an-
hār, wa inna min-hā lamā yasysyaqqaqu fa
yakhruju min-hul-mā`, wa inna min-hā lamā
yahbiṭu min khasy-yatillāh, wa mallāhu
bigāfilin 'ammā ta'malụn
Then after that your heart becomes hard,so that (your heart) is like a stone,even harder.
Whereas from the stones there must be rivers (water) emanating from them.
Some are split open and springs come out of them.
And there are those who slide down for fear of Allah.
And Allah is not heedless of what you do.
75
۞ ﺍَﻓَﺘَﻄْﻤَﻌُﻮْﻥَ ﺍَﻥْ ﻳُّﺆْﻣِﻨُﻮْﺍ ﻟَﻜُﻢْ ﻭَﻗَﺪْ ﻛَﺎﻥَ
ﻓَﺮِﻳْﻖٌ ﻣِّﻨْﻬُﻢْ ﻳَﺴْﻤَﻌُﻮْﻥَ ﻛَﻠَﺎﻡَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﺛُﻢَّ
ﻳُﺤَﺮِّﻓُﻮْﻧَﻪٗ ﻣِﻦْۢ ﺑَﻌْﺪِ ﻣَﺎ ﻋَﻘَﻠُﻮْﻩُ ﻭَﻫُﻢْ ﻳَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ
a fa taṭma'ụna ay yu`minụ lakum wa qad
kāna farīqum min-hum yasma'ụna kalāmallāhi
ṡumma yuḥarrifụnahụ mim ba'di mā 'aqalụhu
wa hum ya'lamụn
So do you (Muslims) really hope that they will believe in you,while a group of them hear the word of Allah,then they change it after understanding it,even though they know it?
76
ﻭَﺍِﺫَﺍ ﻟَﻘُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍٰﻣَﻨُﻮْﺍ ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮْٓﺍ ﺍٰﻣَﻨَّﺎۚ ﻭَﺍِﺫَﺍ ﺧَﻠَﺎ
ﺑَﻌْﻀُﻬُﻢْ ﺍِﻟٰﻰ ﺑَﻌْﺾٍ ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮْٓﺍ ﺍَﺗُﺤَﺪِّﺛُﻮْﻧَﻬُﻢْ ﺑِﻤَﺎ
ﻓَﺘَﺢَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻜُﻢْ ﻟِﻴُﺤَﺎۤﺟُّﻮْﻛُﻢْ ﺑِﻪٖ ﻋِﻨْﺪَ ﺭَﺑِّﻜُﻢْ ۗ
ﺍَﻓَﻠَﺎ ﺗَﻌْﻘِﻠُﻮْﻥَ
wa iżā laqullażīna āmanụ qālū āmannā, wa
iżā khalā ba'ḍuhum ilā ba'ḍing qālū a
tuḥaddiṡụnahum bimā fataḥallāhu 'alaikum
liyuḥājjụkum bihī 'inda rabbikum, a fa lā
ta'qilụn
And when they meet those who believe,they say,"We have believed." But when they returned to one another,they asked, “Will you narrate to them what Allah has explained to you,so that they can contradict you before your Lord? Don't you understand? ”
77
ﺍَﻭَﻟَﺎ ﻳَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ ﺍَﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻳَﻌْﻠَﻢُ ﻣَﺎ ﻳُﺴِﺮُّﻭْﻥَ ﻭَﻣَﺎ
ﻳُﻌْﻠِﻨُﻮْﻥَ
a wa lā ya'lamụna annallāha ya'lamu mā
yusirrụna wa mā yu'linụn
And do they not know that Allah knows what they hide and what they reveal?
78
ﻭَﻣِﻨْﻬُﻢْ ﺍُﻣِّﻴُّﻮْﻥَ ﻟَﺎ ﻳَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ ﺍﻟْﻜِﺘٰﺐَ ﺍِﻟَّﺎٓ ﺍَﻣَﺎﻧِﻲَّ
ﻭَﺍِﻥْ ﻫُﻢْ ﺍِﻟَّﺎ ﻳَﻈُﻨُّﻮْﻥَ
wa min-hum ummiyyụna lā ya'lamụnal-kitāba
illā amāniyya wa in hum illā yaẓunnụn
And among them there are those who are illiterate,do not understand the Book (Torah),except only wishful thinking and they only guess.
79
ﻓَﻮَﻳْﻞٌ ﻟِّﻠَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻳَﻜْﺘُﺒُﻮْﻥَ ﺍﻟْﻜِﺘٰﺐَ ﺑِﺎَﻳْﺪِﻳْﻬِﻢْ ﺛُﻢَّ
ﻳَﻘُﻮْﻟُﻮْﻥَ ﻫٰﺬَﺍ ﻣِﻦْ ﻋِﻨْﺪِ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﻟِﻴَﺸْﺘَﺮُﻭْﺍ ﺑِﻪٖ ﺛَﻤَﻨًﺎ
ﻗَﻠِﻴْﻠًﺎ ۗﻓَﻮَﻳْﻞٌ ﻟَّﻬُﻢْ ﻣِّﻤَّﺎ ﻛَﺘَﺒَﺖْ ﺍَﻳْﺪِﻳْﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﻭَﻳْﻞٌ
ﻟَّﻬُﻢْ ﻣِّﻤَّﺎ ﻳَﻜْﺴِﺒُﻮْﻥَ
fa wailul lillażīna yaktubụnal-kitāba
bi`aidīhim ṡumma yaqụlụna hāżā min
'indillāhi liyasytarụ bihī ṡamanang qalīlā, fa
wailul lahum mimmā katabat aidīhim wa
wailul lahum mimmā yaksibụn
So woe to those who write the book with their (own) hands,then say, "This is from Allah," (with the intention of) selling it cheaply.
So woe to them,for their handwriting,and woe to them for what they do.
80
ﻭَﻗَﺎﻟُﻮْﺍ ﻟَﻦْ ﺗَﻤَﺴَّﻨَﺎ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺭُ ﺍِﻟَّﺎٓ ﺍَﻳَّﺎﻣًﺎ ﻣَّﻌْﺪُﻭْﺩَﺓً ۗ
ﻗُﻞْ ﺍَﺗَّﺨَﺬْﺗُﻢْ ﻋِﻨْﺪَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﻋَﻬْﺪًﺍ ﻓَﻠَﻦْ ﻳُّﺨْﻠِﻒَ
ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﻋَﻬْﺪَﻩٗٓ ﺍَﻡْ ﺗَﻘُﻮْﻟُﻮْﻥَ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﻣَﺎ ﻟَﺎ
ﺗَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ
wa qālụ lan tamassanan-nāru illā ayyāmam
ma'dụdah, qul attakhażtum 'indallāhi 'ahdan fa
lay yukhlifallāhu 'ahdahū am taqụlụna
'alallāhi mā lā ta'lamụn
And they said, "Hell will not touch us,except for a few days." Say, "Have you received a promise from Allah,so that Allah will not break His promise,or are you saying about Allah something you do not know?"
